Elon Musk has recently revealed in his blog updates, the future of Tesla developments. In this blog we see him talking about some interesting new functionality such as self-driving and driver auto pick-up but also  the introduction of a truck to the product line: the Tesla Semi.

The future technology of supply chain and logistics, says Musk, lies in the development of electronic trucks which will help increase safety through improved sensors and fleet sharing of information. Musk suggests that for the Autopilot software, "Once we get to the point where Autopilot is approximately 10 times safer than the US vehicle average, the beta label will be removed."

Safer, cleaner, more efficient truck fleets in the future? Musk thinks so. Fleet management of the future just got a whole lot more interesting...
